Hi Rob I Need youre expertice Did you have any hick ups when you did this powersteering conversion? I allso laid my hands upon a 80series ps/box with pump etc. I now just need to source the steering links/rods Did you box the chassis where the ps/box mounts? Regards Rudi

Thanks JT
Some guys put two plates both sides of the chassis with the crushtubes inside, but if you put the second plate on the outside it radically inteferes with your clearances to the stock shock tower. how do I post pics here?

I think I will just use a plate on the inside with crush tubes, and use the chassis rail on the outside. If you look at the design of the box mount, it is shaped to distribute the load over a larger area, a plate on the outside would negate this. Rudi see http://www.gotbezel.com/index.php?topic=37.0

Rudi . Sorry for late reply only saw yr post yesterday . I did use 80 series box and everything else was for early 75series . I also had to change both steering arms the ones that bolt onto Birfields as the 75 series Tie rod ends are bigger .On the 75 series trackrod where it mounts to the steering box i had to machine it down smaller to suit the box .The rest was all pretty straight forward ,Just look on my above posts for the steering column mod .The rest have gone 60 series route but it was easier for me to source 75 series bits and will be easier down the line to find bits .and also bigger so should be stronger .I didnt mount a plate or make up spacers for mine just made up 2 plates that slid into chassis behind main frame ,Should be plenty strong enuf .The box mounts very close to front crossmember which will help to strengthen it .If u need any assistance just shout (will reply sooner )
