The team together just inside the Palmwag Conservency

The search for Dr Flip begins

Plenty of life on the way – some big…

…some small…

…and some teeny.

The search continues…

Flip, where are youuuu

Found him!

The Lion Office

Kerels by candlelight?

Then, great excitement! Flip arranges some serious pussy for us.

Bye kitty; look after her Flip.

The group splits the next morning. Jan Slabber and Musina Henry and family and friends head north while the rest of us head south with Flip. The idea is to meet that evening and switch roles the next day…

Flip finds a kill and explains in fascinating detail how the attack and kill took place

Lunch break in a canyon

Flip picked up a signal from a lion hiding in a gully where we spend the next three hours waitng for the fella to make a move. The net result is that we are too late to meet the other group and never saw (or heard) them again.

Next morning we headed north to the Hoanib River

Stopping for a salon break

Anything you can do…

…we can do better!

No, I have no idea what JB is up to. Looking for his contact lenses?

Next morning we say good bye to Flip – was a pleasure and a privilege to have met him.

Our journey continues

Lunch break in the Hoanib near Amspoort Gorge

On our way east again

Shower break at the elephant watering hole

Arriving at the source

The tree at our beautiful camp site – unfortunately we didn’t take any pics of the setup.

Sunrise the next morning; a bit of sadness as we are heading toward Sesfontein and then it will be the turn south for home
