For instance, a very friendly but totally pissed policeman opened the Rooilyn gate at Palmwag for me and I struggled to convince him that I was driving in a Cruiser.  He would not budge on his belief that it is a grey Nissan!  He was celebrating his 48th birthday hence the intoxication.

Bliksem!!! I missed you by a couple of hours!! When the policeman said it was his birthday and asking for a present, I thought it was just his way of trying to get something from me. I passed through @ about 17:00 and he was still pissed!! ;D

What I did not mention is that I got some wind damage one Sunday.  I only had a good look at it yesterday morning and was a bit shocked by the actual extend of it.  My short sojourn at the panelbeater revealed all of N$54K damage!! :o :o

Fek, not so nice on a new vehicle. :'(
I once traveled from Walvis to Windhoek with my 80 in "oosweer" and ended up with a sandblasted wind screen and matt chrome trim.

Luckily the paint is ok, but all else took a hammering.
Grill, bumper, lights, front bashplate, windscreen.... :(

David, regarding this thread http://www.gotbezel.com/index.php?topic=316.0

I would like to wait and see what Chris (R&I) comes up with. He is known to build "quality", and has seen the pics of Road Armour, he likes the design but thinks it needs "Shackle Hangers". I am prepared for him to use my FJ as a "Guingea Pig". I also want a Rear Bar, so importing for me could work out a bit over the top. I just wonder what you think?
