why is your PS pump on the wrong side? and why do you have 2 alturnators?

Not sure why the po changed them around.. one alternator, where original was (should be) is not functional, used only as tensioner of v belt.  I will restore to original when I get there.. wiring loom to run to original side for alternator, and will need to look at the power steering plumbing back to original as well.  ::)

OK, due to nag JT.. a few pics..

the instument cluster I re-did before the police clearance and weighbridge...but the odo is not working after all, so will need to strip again to get that working..



My "spanner boy" who just wants to climb in a strip.. When can we take the engine out.... ;D



good progress to date.. including wiring loom out, steering, clutch master cylinder, brake booster etc,   Note the little cubby light.. larney charriot this!




surprise was the incorrectly installed ducting to the demister...  ??? - was this a factory fault??



so we still need to remove the fuel tank (already drained and started removal of plumbing etc), gear levers (covers etc all off already), heater unit and a few small items like the brake and clutch pedals themselves..

I hope by the weekend the tub will be off, just need to make space in the garage to put the tub down next to the chassis..

OK, the promised few pics from last nights tub removal

Firstly, the floor board - drivers side.. spot the metal and win ;D



then, on a more positive note..







this weekend I will push the rolling chassis outside, and give the young lady a good wash with the power washer.. get all that sand, mud and oily dirt off her before I start taking off hoses, rest of the wiring loom, etc etc.

must say, enjoying myself to date..  ;D

Cannot wait to really get to the rebuild part.. will also go get some Plat Slag sandblast media tomorrow to see if that works or not, as the steel pellets are f$#%king expensive to let fly away..
